Work-Out!

I love working-out! I love not only the results it brings, but I love the way it makes me feel and the fact that I’m doing something good for my body. I get bored with my work-outs pretty easy so I’m always changing them up. I’m quite the gym rat.. I love weight lifting! Occasionally I do cardio, but when I do it is either Tabata training or Kickboxing. Weight lifting is the best in my humble opinion :)

Right now I’m focusing on putting on more muscle so I’m lifting 5-6 days a week. I lift heavy weights.. no girly push ups for this girl!

I don’t do much cardio.. it really isn’t necessary to stay lean when lifting heavy and keeping tabs on your diet!

    Hey April!
    Loving the blog as always.
Can you help me? I am currently eating at a defecit (around 1500kcal.day) in order to lose some fat and inches.
I am doing a 3 x week full body weights with 3 x cardio on other days (1x45min spin, 2×20-30 min HIIT).
However I am thinking of doing something more like what you do, since I supposed since I am eating at a defecit I am in no danger of getting ‘big’ and so I can conquer my fear of getting bulky (which is silly I know).
So do you think a split program is right for someone looking to be literally smaller? And, can I follow YOUR program online, or is that more tailored to grow, since I know you are trying to put ON muscle?
    Thanks a lot!

Hi Jilly, I would not copy my workouts/program as it’s very high volume and not really suitable for most people. I would tailor it to your own needs and body!

No workout is tailored specifically to building either. Lifting heavy should be a priority no matter what!
